a 3rd world hit

So up to this point all our issues with Costa Rica have been personal… cultural if you will.  We didn’t like the food or the manners or the ways of the people or the way they do stuff, but now… as a friend of mine here says… “me voy a Houston, Marcos. Ya no aguanto este pais tercer mundista”… It’s hilarious when he says it because he’s a tico and he ain’t going no where!!!

We’ve been hit with water problems lately and it really sucks!!! Atenas is a tiny town with like 2000 people (that is my unscientific guess) so i don’t know what is going on. There is plenty of water but there is not people or resourcs to fix pipes when they break and leak and that kind of thing.

It’s bad when you go out and play basketball and then you go home and there is no stinckin’ water to shower. Or when you go swiming in a waterfall and crawl in mud and you can’t shower and you have to go to bed all nasty!!! This is bad…. but by far, the worst part of it is when you have to drop some mud and you can’t cause there is no way to flush…. ¡¡¡que pais mas tercer mundista!!!
